More Info... Talker Server Policies

  1. The "owner" of the account is the person who submits the online talker application and AUP. No other person is recognized as having authority over the account, unless directly stated and written by the owner.

  2. No more than three (3) people may have access to any account. These are the "owner", the "coder", and one talker administrator.

  3. There may be no audio, video, textual or any other medium of pornographical material kept in your account on the server. If such material is found, it will be grounds for immediate termination of your account with loss of refund privileges.

  4. Accounts may not be used as bases from which hacking, cracking, spying, sniffing, or any other unethical/illegal activities takes place. If such activity is discovered, it will be grounds for immediate termination of your account with loss of refund privileges.

  5. It is the responsibility of the "owner" of the account to ALWAYS update Alisa with regard to billing address or e-mail address changes. Failure to do so with resulting delinquency in payments will result in suspension or termination of an account.

Likewise, any changes in ownership of the account must be requested of and acknowledged by Alisa at least 30 days in advance, with all appropriate paperwork signed and new billing/contact information obtained.

  6. Accounts 3 months overdue (1 quarter) in payment will be rendered inaccessible until payment is received.

  7. Accounts 6 months overdue (2 quarters) in payment will be removed from the server.

  8. The "owner" of an account, not Dragonroost Talker Server, is responsible for the behavior and conduct of those persons with account access and likewise for the behavior and conduct of those who visit the talker itself. Mysterious file deletions, account tampering/hacking, etc. caused by irresponsible maintenance of your account and account access is your responsibility.

  9. You are responsible for your own file backups. Help pertaining to the "tar" and "compress" utilities can be found in the resources section.

  10. It is the responsibility of the "owner" to monitor their talker, bot, cron, tf and any other processes to ensure they stay within normal operation. Help for the commands to do this can be found in the resource section. "Runaway" or vagrant processes found on the system by the administrators will be killed without prior notice and followed up by an e-mail.

  11. To report a problem, please provide the following information:

    • Your name and non-talker.com e-mail address
    • Your affiliation to the account (owner, coder, admin, etc.)
    • Talker account name
    • Nature of the problem as exactly as you can state it
    • Time of error/problem
    • Specific error message you received

  12. And finally, Dragonroost System Administrators DO NOT get involved in argumentative and quarrelsome disputes between talker users nor talker owners, except when the server is placed in jeopardy. It is the responsibility of all talker owners and users to settle their own disputes and disagreements in a mature and reasonable manner.
