Command: read
Usage: .read [<room>]
This command displays any messages that are on the message board
in the <room> specified. If <room> is omitted, it reads the board of the room you are in.
Command: home
When you are across a netlink, this command will return you to
your original (home) talker immediately.
Command: status
Usage: .status [<>]
This command lists the status of the logged in <>.If <>
is omitted, your status is displayed.
Command: version :
This command displays version information about this talker
.Command: rmail
This command will display the contents of your mailbox. Please
note that this is INTERNAL TALKER MAIL only and is NOT email.
Use .from to ONLY display a list of the people who have sent
mail to your mailbox.
Command: map
Usage: .map [<map number>]
This displays a mapped layout of the talker's rooms.
Omit <map number> to display the main map or map index.If
this talker is set up for multiple maps, enter the map number you wish to view as <map number>
.Command: charecho
This command toggles a REMOTE ECHO condition ON or OFF.This should
only be used by s who cannot see what they type.If you use this command when you do not need it, you will most-
likely see double of every character.
Command: accreq :
Usage: .accreq <your email address>
This command sends a request to the talker's administrators to
request an account. If the email address you specify is not valid, or is incorrect, your account may be denied.
You need to use this command before you can be promoted above the level.
Command: color :
This command toggles ANSI color off or on. If your terminal does
not support ANSI color and you receive "junk" on your screen, turn this command off. If your terminal
DOES support color, turn this on for the best look.
See .help colorcodes for information on how to use color in your
text, desc, profile, etc.
Command: suicide :
Usage: .suicide <passwd>
This command will delete your account on this talker!
Command: admins :
This command will display the names and levels of every administrator
currently online. Refer to this command to find out who you can ask important questions or make complaints to.
Please note that this will NOT display admins who are currently hidden from your view.
Command: shout :
Usage: .shout <message>
Shortcut: !
This command "shouts" your message to every room in
the talker.
Command: tell :
Usage: .tell <> <message>
Shortcut: >
This sends your <message> privately to the <> you
specify.
Command: emote :
Usage: .emote <text>
Shortcut: ;
This allows you to express yourself.
Example: A named "John" who typed: .emote is happy
results in: John is happy
Command: semote :
Usage: .semote <text>
Shortcut: *
This command performs the same action as EMOTE, but shouts it
to every room on the talker.
Command: pemote :
Usage: .pemote <> <text>
Shortcut: <
This command performs the same function as EMOTE, but sends it
privately to the <> you specify.
Command: echo :
Usage: .echo <text>
Shortcut: -
This command echoes your text to the room without putting your
name in front of it. NOTE: Wizzes *can* see who posts echoes.
Command: ignall :
This command toggles your "listening" state off or
on. When you are Ignoring-ALL you will not see any messages or text from other s.
Command: desc :
Usage: .desc [<description>]
This sets your description that is seen in LOOK, WHO, STATUS,
and EXAMINE.If you omit <description>, your current description is displayed.
Command: inphr :
Usage: .inphr [<message>]
This sets the message that is displayed following your name when
you enter a room. e.g. if your name is fred and you set it to "enters fast" other people will see "Fred
enters fast" when you enter a room. If you omit the message it shows you your current message.
Command: outphr :
Usage: .outphr [<message>]
This sets the message that is displayed following your name when
you leave a room. e.g. if your name is fred and you set it to "leaves fast" other people will see "Fred
leaves fast" when you leave a room. If you omit the message it shows you your current message.
Command: public :
Usage: .public [<room>]
This will set the current room to PUBLIC as long as its access
is not in the FIXED mode. The <room> option may only be used by wizzes at or above the gatecrash_level.
Command: private :
Usage: .private [<room>]
This will set the current room to PRIVATE as long as. . .
- There are enough s in the room...
- and the room is not in the FIXED mode.

Usage: .letmein <room>
This sends a message to people in a private room letting know
that you wish to enter. Its then up to them to invite you in.
Command: invite :
Usage: .invite <>
This will allow a of your choice to be invited into the private
room you are in.
Command: topic :
Usage: .topic <text>
This sets the room's topic. It is displayed in LOOK, or if <text>
is omitted.
Command: news :
This command displays the news file.
Command: write :
Usage: .write [<text>]
This writes a message on the board of the room you are in. If
you omit the text, you are taken to the editor to enter up to 15 lines.
Command: review :
This will show the last few lines of conversation, emoting and
echoes that took place in the room which you are in.
Command: smail :
Usage: .smail <>[@<service>] <message>
This sends your <message> to another 's mailbox. To send
mail to another talker that is CURRENTLY netlinked, follow the name with @<service> with NO SPACE. If you
omit <message> you will enter the editor for your message.
Command: dmail :
Usage: .dmail <num>/all This deletes messages from your
mailbox. Enter <num> messages to be deleted, or use "all" to delete all of them.
Command: from :
This shows you the people who have sent you the mail that is
in your mailbox without actually showing you the contents of the mail.
Command: profile :
This command allows you to enter a lengthy description (profile)
or yourself that people will see when they use the examine command. Since you can write anything you like here
people tend to use it for all sorts of things.
Command: examine :
Usage: .examine <>
This command shows you the 's profile and various useful statistics
relating to his/her current or most recent login.
Command: passwd :
Usage: .passwd <old_pwd> <new_pwd>
This command changes your password. You MUST enter your old password
for security purposes.
Command: page :
Usage: page <>
This sends a message and a beeping noise to the 's terminal...
hopefully attracting his/her attention.
Command: afk
Usage: afk [lock] [<message>]
This command allows you to set yourself to "away from keyboard"
which shows up when people "look" at the room and you will pronounced afk if they try to tell you or
pemote something to you. Just press return to reset unless you have specified the "lock" option will
lock your session and prevent someone using it while you are away from the terminal. Enter your talker password
and press return to unlock it. You can leave an optional message when you go afk which will be sent to anyone trying
to .tell or .pemote to you.
The talker can store a limited number of private messages sent
to you while you are away. If a message is sent to you while you are AFK, the talker will instruct you on how to
receive the stored messages.
Command: cls :
This command clears your screen.
Command: ignshout
This is a toggle command that will switch on or off whether you
hear shouts or not.
Command: igntell
This is a toggle command which will switch on or off the ability
of other s to send you .tells.
Command: think
Usage: .think <text>
Shortcut: (
This command displays your text in a "think bubble."
Ex: thinks . o O ( hmmmm )
Command: set :
Usage: set <http/email/gender/age/private> <option>
This command will set statistics about yourself. These can be
viewed by yourself and other s by using the .examine and .status commands. Using .set private will toggle your
email and homepage setting private or public. When public, anyone can see them in .status. When private,only yourself
and administrators can view the information.
.set http <your homepage address>

Command: tinfo
This will display information that is stored in this talker's
system information registry. This includes a sysop name, IP/DNS/PORT, serial number, and other information.
Command: ign :
Usage: .ign <>/off
This allows you to specifically ignore all posts from ONE at
a time. It is deactivated when the logs out
or you use the "off" switch.
Command: exits :
Usage: .exits
This command will list the exits from your current room. They
are also listed in the .look command, but this one does not page out the room descriptions, etc. Pueblo s can easily
click the room exits (non-private and non-link) to go to them.
Command: suggest :
Usage: .suggest [<suggestion text>]
This command writes a suggestion to the talker's suggestion board.It
does not matter where you are in the talker. Use this just like you would for writing message in room, but write
meaningful suggestions only, please. If you leave off the suggestion text, you will be taken into the editor to
write up to 15 lines.
Command: rsuggest :
Usage: .rsuggest
This command will allow you to read the messages
on the suggestion board. Not only will it let you get an idea of what other s like yourself want, but it can keep
you from repeating suggestions that have already been posted.

Command: to :
Usage: .to <> <text>
This command is similar to SAY, but it directs the text to a
specific in public. NOTE: This text is displayed in public and is NOT an alternative to .tell.
Command: search :
Usage: search <word list>
This will search for the words in the word list in all of the
message boards that you could possibly see. Ie it wont show you anything from boards that are in rooms fixed to
private if you do not have access to those rooms. The word search is done on an OR basis, ie if any of the words
are in a given message it will be shown as opposed to all of the words having to be there.
Command: rmst :
This shows the list of rooms and topics.
Command: rmsn :
This shows the list of rooms and associated net connections linked
to them.
Command: revclr :
This command will clear the review buffer of the your current
room.
Command: allclones :
This shows who has clones on the system and what rooms they are
in
.Command: revtell :
This will show you the last few tells and pemotes you have received.
This command also stores the most recent private messages that have been sent to you while you are AFK. The talker
will announce to you if you have any private messages when you return from AFK.
Command: shift :
Usage: .shift <text>
Shortcut: /
This command will alter the 'shift' of each character you type.
Ex: YoUr tExT WiLl lOoK LiKe tHiS
Command: sshift :
Usage: .sshift <text>
This command will shout the 'shift' of each character you type.
Ex: YoUr tExT WiLl lOoK LiKe tHiS

Usage: .sing <text>
This will put your text into "music notes" to represent
your singing ability.
Command: waitfor :
Usage: .waitfor <>
This command will allow you to "wait" for a to log-in.
When the enters, both will be paged with a message displayed.
Command: clrtopic :
Usage: .clrtopic <room>
This command will clear the topic in room <room>
.Command: myroom :
This command will create a personal room of your own and place
you in it. Remember that it can only create the room if there is space. See .prstat to check for availability.
Command: prstat :
This lists the status of dynamic rooms on this talker.
Command: getout :
Usage: .getout < >
This command will force a out of your personal room. It will
only force s out if you own the room the is in. It will not work if the is in a regular room.
Command: rmdesc :
Usage: .rmdesc [<room>]
This command is mainly for editing your personal room description.Up
to ten lines of 80 characters each are allowed. The sysop of the talker has the option to let certain s use the
<room> option which will allow those s to edit room descriptions of regular rooms.
Command: alias :
Usage: .alias <nickname>
This command will set an alias for yourself that is active for
the current session only. Other s can use your alias just like your name in commands. This is helpful if your name
is similar to another 's name, or your name is extra-long or hard to type. You may NOT set the alias to an existing
's name or an alias that is already in use. NOTE: If a new is created and its name is the same as your alias, your
alias will be deactivated.
Command: lalias :
This command will list all s that currently have an alias and
what their alias is.
Command: memo :
Usage: .memo [<text>]
This command will store a MEMO in your SMAIL mail box. It is
the equivalent of sending mail to yourself. If you omit <text>, you will enter the editor to enter up to
15 lines.
Command: ppic :
Usage: .ppic <URL>
This command displays a 'recommendation other s to view the picture
at the URL specified. The URL *MUST* begin with http:// and end in either .jpg or .gif
s who connect with the Pueblo telnet client have the option to
view the picture on the talker screen if the talker is ENABLED for pueblo-enhancement.

Usage: .paudio <URL>
This command displays a 'recommendation' to other s to view the
audio at the URL specified. The URL *MUST* begin with http:// and end in either .wav or .mid

hear the audio 'in the talker screen if the talker is ENABLED for pueblo-enhancement.
Command: jukebox :
Usage: .jukebox [<song Number>]
This command will play a song on from the jukebox. s who are
connecting with the Pueblo telnet client have the option to listen to the audio if the talker is set up for Pueblo
enhancement.
